STAIRBODY #2 (2013)

International conference on Bodily Methodologies and Intersectional Knowledge, University of Southern Denmark

Photo projection of site surface on still human body

30 minute performance

Being inspired by feminist posthumanist thinkers Braidotti and Barad, I find my performative situations relevant for the academic knowledge production arenas. International academic conferences calls for transdisciplinary modes of knowledge exchange these years, inviting artists to articulate and destabilize the categories in question.

This performative situation took place in-between a keynote presentation and the conference dinner, and in between the formal setting of the conference hall and the informal setting of the university restaurant. The body installed in a walk-through passage, creating a hybrid body-site both questioning the site as well as the body.
